Pre Packed Wire Wrap Screen

Pre packed screens are designed using an inner and outer slip on wire wrap jacket of differing diameters which are secured together over a perforated base pipe.

The screen gauge is determined from the filter media size, optimizing sand retention and permeability.

The annulus between the two screens is packed with filter media to provide a pre determined sand pack thickness in the range of 0.5”-1.5”.

The sand is packed utilizing industrial vibrating machines to ensure a void free pack, and is then inspected utilizing high intensity light from the I.D. of the pipe to ensure proper compaction and distribution.

Typical filter media pack is comprised of silica sand however ceramic or other proppant types are available but subject to market availability.

The pre packed assemblies can be manufactured to any desired coverage ratio on the pipe to work in coordination with rig pipe handling arms or to space out to cover specific zones within a reservoir.
