The Smart Communication Unit is a communication terminal unit which enables the operator to set up, alter, adjust parameters, or read out variables in the field or remotely through interactive communications when used in combination with OVAL Smart series flowmeter. Using a Windows PC at hand as the terminal, it connects to the 4 to 20 mA DC signal transmission lines of the flowmeter to show multiple process windows.
Features
  • Direct transmission of variables from the flowmeter offers reading them free of conversion errors
  • Can display a package of parameters established in the flowmeter, including the process fluid conditions, flow units of measurement, Analog output full scale, total and pulse output, and can reconfigure them. Tells the operator with an error message any entry of settings in error by its self diagnostics
  • Can save parameters established in the flowmeter; they are ready to be reviewed and printed out on demand. By downloading, the entire data can be transferred to another flowmeter, duplicating the flowmeter of exactly the same specifications
